- Coordinating with other NOC and operational staff
- Supporting platform upgrades
- Coordinating ticket acceptance and resolutions
- Developing technical resolution reports for critical outages
- Designing and implementing computer and information networks
- Performing network modeling, analysis, and planning
- Maintaining and updating system and network documentation
- Leading and supporting metrics for all network related escalation tickets
NOC job qualificationsÂ
- Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
- Understanding of network topology and its association with DNS
- Knowledge of how to partition disks using fdisk or gdisk
- Experience with building physical data center such as copper/fiber cabling
- Experience with enterprise and data center networking technologies
- Experience with the latest Cisco hardware and operating systems
- In-depth knowledge of network management, network availability, and network automation
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in network operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to cohesively direct remote team members.
- Strong knowledge of network architecture, protocols, and technologies.
- Experience with network security practices and technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Available after normal business hours when required.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, CISSP or equivalent.
- Communication of network KPIs and reliability
- Experience with network monitoring solutions (Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios)
- Excellent at SLA and incident management
- Knowledge of automation and network management tools.
